Have you had a fabulous Christmas and New Years Celebration?

Hopefully, you have survived the Christmas and New Year Festivities relatively unscathed and are ready to embrace 2020.

Just before Christmas, I released a new pattern called Enchanted Garden

Enchanted Garden Embroidery Pattern

This was based on my love of Folk Art, in particular, the more modern colorful type of folk art which really works for my type of designs.

If you are new to hand embroidery then felt applique is perfect for you to get to know some basic stitches whilst filling in larger areas with gorgeous wool felt for texture and interest.

If you want to explore Folk Art in Embroidery a bit more, take a look at this fabulous book by Nancy Nicholson… Modern Folk Embroidery. Nancy has a wonderful array of projects in the book and the use of stitches for decorative purposes is really inspiring.

I am planning to incorporate wool felt applique a bit more in some of my designs as it is so much fun to stitch.

We only have 2 months left of the Friday Freebie patterns featuring the Birth Month Flowers… January and February. I have already stitched them up and I am sure you will love stitching them. Nancy has kept the last 2 hidden here so you have no spoilers until they are released!

Do you enjoy Freebie Friday?

Should I continue a new theme of patterns for this year? I would love to know if you have enjoyed stitching these and if you would like me to continue. If you have any ideas for a new theme – let me know your thoughts…

Enjoy your New Years Day and I’m looking forward to sharing some fun with you on the blog over this next year.

Happy Stitching!
