Welcome to the ‘Winter Splendour’ Stitch A Long
This Stitch A Long will take place for 10 weeks on the Stitchdoodles blog – Starting Wednesday 12th January 2022 and finishing on Wednesday 16th March 2022.
Each Wednesday during the SAL – a new tutorial will be published on the blog with all the information you need to complete a part of the Winter Splendour Pattern.

Week 5!
This week we are stitching the…
Sleepy Fox
You will need the following colours…
#433, #921, #3866, #3756
Use 2 strands throughout unless stated otherwise.
Start by Stitching the tree…
#433: Split stitch around the edges of the tree and branches and then fill in the trunk and branches with split stitch to finish.
Stitching the fox…
#921: Split stitch the body/tail – start at the right edge and curve your stitches down and around to imagine the direction of the body and fur as the tail is whipped around.
Once the orange is complete, #3866: split stitch the 2 sides of the face and the tip of the tail.
To complete, #921: Split stitch the centre head in a downwards direction towards the nose.
For the Ears: #921 Fly Stitch to form the point of the ear and then in #310 do a smaller fly stitch inside each ear to complete.
#310: Straight stitch the eyes and nose.
Your Sleepy Fox is all complete. To finish the block back stitch the outer edge in #3756…
