It’s back for the third year!

This is always an exciting project to end the year on – the Stitchdoodles Mystery Advent Calendar.
In 2021 I launched the first of our mystery Advent Calendars and it was a huge success – so many of you joined in and enjoyed the whole process which was a joy to see. Over 25 days we added a new motif to the background template until the whole design was filled in and looking amazing…
To design and implement this from start to finish is incredibly complex and time consuming so I wasn’t sure if it would be a regular yearly event! However, fast forward to 2022 and I decided to go for it again with a completely new design – the Folk Christmas Tree…
This leads me to the current year 2023 and I couldn’t resist coming up with another design – I get all excited about designing a new pattern and then realise the incredible amount of work needed to make it into the Advent Calendar Project! Each year I say to myself this is the last one so who knows if there will be one next year or not!
As always, the design is a mystery and will reveal itself in the run up to Christmas…

Here’s How it Works…
Every day from the 1st December to the 25th December, you will be given a motif that is Christmas themed to stitch on to the Calendar with colour and stitch guide provided as well.
Each motif is designed to fit into a particular area on the template and you will be given directions of where to stitch it.
Worried you haven’t got the time to fit it in?
No need – the motifs are small and designed to only take 5-10 mins of your time a day so perfect for those who love stitching but are really busy during the Christmas preparations.
Want to join in the fun?
This year the Advent Calendar will be hosted at the Stitchdoodles SAL Studio – each day you will be able to sign in and download the directions for that days stitching.
There are 3 options to choose from to suit all budgets…
Purchase the Kit – contains everything you need to stitch the design.
Purchase the Pre Printed fabric
Purchase the Digital Template and transfer everything yourself.
Your finished Calendar…
Once you have stitched all 25 motifs on to your calendar, you will have a beautiful Chrismas themed pattern to display.
Finished size is approx. 5.5 x 10 inches.
All the finishing directions will be available at the Stitchdoodles Stitch A Long studio from
26th December – I will show you…
- how to remove the SFS
- how to stitch the surrounding edges.
- how to finish it to be displayed year after year as a Christmas heirloom decoration.
