Block 11 – Berry Vine
DMC Thread (use 2 strands throughout).
Another simple block this week – very similar in design to the Floral Vine last week.
Colour and Stitch Guide
Stitching the Vines and Leaves…
Stitch the Vine first in Stem Stitch – in order to get the nice curve, keep your stitches nice and small as you go along so there are no stitches making sharp lines.
For the Leaves – stitch each leaf in Fishbone Stitch – go back to week 1 if you need a refresh on this stitch.
Stitching the Berries…
The Berries are made up of lots of french knots to form the circle.
I prefer to stitch the outer line of the circle first in the knots and then fill in the centre.
Final Details…
Just like last weeks block, stitch a line of French Knots along the lower edge to complete the block.
Your Sampler is so near to the end now and should look amazing…
So, next week is the final week!! I don’t know about you but those 12 weeks have flown by and it will be great to add the final block to make the Sampler complete.
