Week 10…
Block 10 – Floral vine
DMC Thread (use 2 strands throughout).
- #3362 Leaf Green
- #3834 Plum
- #758 Antique Pink
This block is really simple to stitch and you shouldn’t need to spend too much time completing it.
Colour and Stitch Guide
Stitching the Vines and Leaves…
Stitch the Vine first in Stem Stitch – in order to get the nice curve, keep your stitches nice and small as you go along so there are no stitches making sharp lines.
For the Fly Stitch leaves – start at the tip of the leaf and work down to the base. You can see the picture guide for Fly Stitch on week 9 here.
Stitching the Flowers…
Each of the flower petals is stitched with Brick Stitch – if you need a reminder of how to do this stitch you can go back to week 8 and follow the picture tutorial again.
Final Details…
To finish the block off – stitch a lovely row of french knots on the lower edge. How great does your sampler look now…

Hi, I’m working on the Spring Sampler (I’m trying to, i will have to order the stamped pattern, its really hard to do by hand) and i tried to find the first block, which is the strawberries but when i click on it, it takes me to another page. I’ve tried to find it elsewhere, but no luck. Can you help me? Thanks!
