Time to get Stitching this weeks addition…
Christmas Stockings and Sweets
As we are reaching the last few weeks of this Stitch A Long, the remaining areas to stitch are relatively simple so will not take up too much time.
Stitching the Stockings…
I’ve numbered the Stockings so you can follow the directions easier. You will need the following colours… #742, #666, #3021.
The top band of each stocking is stitched in the same way with #742: straight stitch the inner stripes and back stitch around the band edge.
- Stocking 1: #742 Chain Stitch / #666 Chain Stitch / #666 Satin stitch the tip of the toe
- Stocking 2: # 666 Chain Stitch / #742 Satin Stitch Heel and Toe / #3021 Straight stitch buckle
- Stocking 3: # 666 Chain Stitch / #742 Split stitch yellow stripes, satin stitch toe and heel / #3021 split stitch band.
Stitching the Hanging Rail…
Stitching the Sweets…
Use 1 or 2 strands to stitch the sweets (depending on how neat your stitching is!)
Stitch the yellow wrapper ends first and then the blue and red stripes to finish.
Don’t forget to stitch the 2 sweets below each reindeer as well!
