Time to get Stitching…

The Wording

You will need the following colour… #154

Stitching words is a relatively simple task but if, like me you are a bit of a perfectionist – it can be a bit frustrating getting them to look as neat as you would like! It doesn’t always happen as this is not my strong point so ultimately I end up compromising on perfection and just accepting it is what it is!

With that in mind – you might want to play around a bit first and find out how many strands you are comfortable with as well as which stitch looks best. Stitches you might want to try are back stitch, split stitch or even a mixture of the two!

For my wording, I used 2 strands and stitched with tiny back stitch and the odd bit of split stitch on tight curves.

When you see the full picture, all the little imperfections that are irritating you blend in and are not so obvious.

Finish the wording by Stitching the Stars on the lower line…

#834 Straight Stitch the star points, straight stitch a cross inside the star from point to point and then another little diagonal cross across the centre. Then straight stitch the surrounding lines to finish. If preferred you could fill the stars with split stitch if you want a filled in effect.

Stitching the Poinsettias

There are 2 Poinsettias either side of the sleigh…

You will need: #816, #321, ECRU. Stitch as follows…

And that’s all there is to it this week! Hopefully this will give you time to catch up if you are a bit behind or just enjoy taking it slowly after the last few weeks. Either way – make the most of it as we have an exciting additon next week – can’t wait!

Share your fabulous stitching with the Happy Stitching FB Group or send me some pics and I’ll post them here, I am so excited to see how you are getting on.

Don’t forget you can also share your stitching on Instagram with #stitchdoodlesembroidery.

Happy Stitching!
