Time to get Stitching those Exciting Presents…
These presents are so much fun to stitch as the stitches are simple and the colours are fabulously bright.
You will need the following colours:
Presents: #910, #742, #825, #321, #415
Bird: #321, #310, #975
Stitch the Presents first and then add the little bird on at the very end.
The Presents are all stitched with nice bright colours – use the photo for reference if following the colour choice exactly… Red #321 / Silver #415 / Blue #825 / Yellow #742 / Green #910
I mixed and matched the colours for as much variety as possible! You can really have fun with these!

How to Stitch…
The Boxes…
To fill the main areas of the boxes and the lids you can use any of the following…
- Vertical or Horizontal Split Stitch
- Vertical or Horizontal Satin Stitch
Once the main present box has been filled, straighten & neaten off the edges by using a long stitch each side and on the bottom of the box, then stitch the filler for the lid and again neaten/straighten any edges of the lid where necessary with a long stitch.
The Ribbons…
The Ribbons are simply just long stitches that have been added on after the filler stitch has been done – you can add them in a single stripe up the middle, a cross, diagonal stripes etc etc just like I have done with mine. There are bows added on in various places by stitching chain stitch depending on how many loops I wanted to create.
Make them your own…
You can really have lots of fun with this – on one of the presents I added a couple of star shapes with a single strand and on another I stitched some French Knots for decoration.
The Gift Tags…
As a final touch there are a few gift tags to stitch – these are stitched with 1 strand in a colour of your choice: back stitch the string and place a French Knot to attach the string to the tag, finally straight stitch the edges of the tag.

Stitching the Robin…
Use 1 strand/ long & short stitch: #321 birds breast, #975 head/back/tail, #310 straight stitch the beak and feet and stitch a French knot for the eye.
All your presents are ready for Christmas now, you will just have to hope Father Christmas comes and drops some off as well over night!
