The Stitches

The 2 resources we are using for this sampler are, RSN Embroidery Stitches Card Deck and the RSN Online Stitchbank.

Stitch Guide

Locate the number on the diagram that corresponds to the number of the stitch which is given as we go along.

Day 14: Herringbone Stitch, Chain stitch

Stitch Guide No. 24 = Herringbone Stitch

Stitched with Anchor Pearl Cotton size 8. Herringbone is so satisfying to stitch and the effect is beautiful.

Stitch Guide No.25 = Chain Stitch

One row was stitched with Madeira Lana wool thread and the other Madeira Silk (2 strands). Try to maintain an even tension along the row as you stitch so you don’t distort the chain or have different size chain links.
