It’s week 10 and it’s another Hedgehog! Sorry for those of you who were hoping for the owl but hopefully you will enjoy this block as well!

If this is all new to you and you are wondering what this SAL is all about – please go to this page for all the details. You can join in anytime as the blog tutorials won’t be disappearing when the SAL ends.

Colour Guide for the this block…

Let’s start by…

Stitching the Tree…

The tree trunk and branches are all stitched with Brick stitch – if you have been following along with the pattern each week then this should be a stitch you are really familiar with by now!

All the leaves are just small straight stitches placed randomly in colour around the branch tops. Start with #919 and then add in the rest…

I don’t know about you but I loved stitching the tree!

Stitching the Hedgehog…

This little guy is stitched in exactly the same way as last weeks hedgehog.

Head back to last week’s post if you need a refresh.

Stitching the Mushrooms…

Satin stitch the mushroom tops with #3864 .

With #839 – Straight stitch a small base to the mushrooms and then back stitch the stems. Stitch a couple of tiny straight stitches over the satin stitch to complete.

And that’s all there is too it. Finish the block by stitching the outline in #833 in Back Stitch. Week 10 is complete.
